Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing porous cellulose beads with little nonspecific adsorption having pore characteristics that achieve a good transmission observation image and a high adsorption level by a simple method having little toxicity or corrosiveness; and providing crosslinked porous cellulose beads using the same, and an adsorbent using these, a column using these, and a purification method using these. The problem was able to be solved by inventing a method for producing porous cellulose beads characterized by including a step for cooling a cellulose dope prepared by mixing an alkaline aqueous solution and raw material cellulose powder to a temperature lower than -12°C and a step for adjusting the cellulose dope to a temperature higher than 15°C.
