Title:
POROUS INORGANIC OXIDE CARRIER AND HYDROTREATING CATALYST FOR CATALYTICALLY CRACKED GASOLINE MADE BY USING THE CARRIER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/093170
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to a porous inorganic oxide carrier supporting thereon an oxygen-containing carbonaceous substance, preferably a carbide of an oxygen-containing organic compound, wherein the mass ratio of carbon supported on the carrier for catalyst preparation to the carrier is 0.05 to 0.2, the atomic ratio of hydrogen supported on the carrier to carbon supported thereon is 0.4 to 1.0, and the atomic ratio of oxygen supported on the carrier to carbon supported thereon is 0.1 to 0.6. The invention relates also to a hydrotreating catalyst for catalytically cracked gasoline which is produced by making a catalyst containing a Group 8 metal of the periodic table, molybdenum (Mo), phosphorus, and sulfur supported on the above carrier. This catalyst depresses the hydrogenation of olefins even under the reaction conditions attaining high-degree desulfurization and minimizes the lowering in the octane value, thus being useful as a catalyst for hydrodesulfurizing catalytically cracked gasoline or the like to a super depth desulfurization level.
