Title:
POROUS IRON-SILICATE WITH RADIALLY DEVELOPED BRANCH, AND IRON-CARBIDE/SILICA COMPOSITE CATALYST PREPARED THEREFROM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/174785
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention may provide an iron-carbide/silica composite catalyst that has high reactivity to a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis by firstly forming an iron-silicate structure of which the specific surface area is wide and pores are well-developed through a hydrothermal reaction of an iron salt with a silica particle having a nanostructure, and then activating the iron-silicate structure in a high temperature carbon monoxide atmosphere. When using the iron-carbide/silica composite catalyst according to the present invention in a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction, it is possible to effectively prepare liquid hydrocarbon while exhibiting a high CO conversion rate and selectivity.
