Abstract:
A portable barcode label printer includes a carbon ribbon cassette (100) and a printing drive device (200). The printing drive device (200) includes a ribbon supply shaft (220) and a ribbon recovery shaft (230). The ribbon cassette (100) includes a core engaging device for fixing a ribbon supply core (120) and a ribbon recovery core (130). The ribbon supply shaft (220) and the ribbon recovery shaft (230) are detachably coupled to the ribbon supply core (120) and the ribbon recovery core (130) respectively. The ribbon supply core (120) and the ribbon recovery core (130) are engaged with the ribbon supply shaft (220) and the ribbon recovery shaft (230) by two couplings (4) respectively and the cores rotate coaxially with the shafts. The carbon ribbon of the ribbon cassette in the portable barcode label printer can be replaced independently after exhaustion instead of discarding the whole cassette. In this way, the portable barcode label printer saves resources and complies with environmental requirements.
