Abstract:
The present invention relates to a technology for preventing deterioration of battery performance in an electronic device and, more particularly, to a technology for preventing battery performance from deteriorating due to a temperature change in a portable electronic device operated by discharge of the battery. A portable electronic device operated by discharge of a battery according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a battery that is installed in the portable electronic device and supplies power to an element operated by electricity in the electronic device; a control unit that adjusts the discharge power of the battery so as to intermittently supply power from the battery to the element operated by electricity; a temperature measuring means for measuring the internal or external temperature of the device; and a microcontroller that compares the internal or external temperature with a preset reference temperature by means of a signal input by the temperature measuring means, and changes the duty of a control signal given to the control unit according to a comparison value and outputs same.
