Abstract:
The invention discloses a portable receiving device and a system of calibration or adjustment of device settings or location of the device that makes use of room geometry that has been acquired by analyzing the room impulse response. The portable receiving device is configured to receive a sound signal having a specified frequency and duration from an external device, analyze a room impulse response from the sound signal to acquire the room geometry by performing a sound waveform analysis, generate a room model based on the room impulse response, simulate an audio response of the room model, compute and optimize audio parameters based on the simulated audio response and a room environment information corresponding to a location of a target area, and transmit the audio parameter to an external device to calibrate the device configuration for optimizing audio signals fit in the location of the target area.
