A portable terminal device comprising a structure for restricting the direction of discharge of ions to the outside of the portable terminal device. A portable terminal device is provided with: a speaker for emitting sound; a microphone for converting sound into an electric signal; an ion generation unit for generating ions; a control unit for performing terminal operation control which operates the speaker and the microphone and air conditioning control which operates the ion generation unit; and a housing for containing the speaker, the microphone, the ion generation unit, and the control unit. The housing is provided with: an outlet opening for discharging outward the ions which are generated by the ion generation unit; and an ion guiding inner wall surface for guiding toward the outlet opening the ions which are generated by the ion generation unit. The ion guiding inner wall surface is shaped as a curved surface so that ions are discharged toward the vicinity of the microphone through the outlet opening.
