Abstract:
A portable terminal in which forced return to a preset input mode can be made with
a simple operation, and the convenience and operability can be improved and its
input mode control method. When the operation of a specific key is detected or
the operating time of the specific key is monitored to detect that the specific
key is consecutively operated for a predetermined time or more, a control unit
(16) forcedly returns the mode to the preset input mode and displays an inputted
character or symbol in a preset language or a language effective in the area to
which it belongs.
