Abstract:
A portable toilet seat cover that includes: a conforming seat portion adapted for placement against a toilet seat; a front adhesive surface on an underside of the conforming seat portion; a rear lip extending beyond the conforming seat portion with rear adhesive on the underside of the rear lip; a front drape extending downward from the conforming seat portion; a side drape on each side of the conforming seat portion, wherein the front drape and side drapes extend downward to a floor level supporting the toilet seat. Preferably, the conforming seat portion is padded with foam to provide a comfortable seating surface. The conforming seat portion may also include a protective cover. In one particular embodiment, the seat cover is made of disposable material.

Claims:
What is claimed is:

1. A portable toilet seat cover comprising:

a) a conforming seat portion adapted for placement against a toilet seat;

b) a front adhesive surface on an underside of the conforming seat portion; c) a rear lip extending beyond the conforming seat portion with rear adhesive on the underside of the rear lip;

d) a front drape extending downward from the conforming seat portion;

e) a side drape on each side of the conforming seat portion, wherein the front drape and side drapes extend downward to a floor level supporting the toilet seat.

2. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the conforming seat portion is padded.

3. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the conforming seat portion is padded with foam.

4. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the conforming seat portion

includes a protective cover

5. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the seat cover is made of

disposable material.

6. A portable toilet seat cover comprising:

a) a conforming seat portion adapted for placement against a toilet seat;

b) a front adhesive surface on an underside of the conforming seat portion; c) a rear lip extending beyond the conforming seat portion with rear adhesive on the underside of the rear lip;

d) a front drape extending downward from the conforming seat portion;

e) a side drape on each side of the conforming seat portion, wherein the front drape and side drapes extend downward below the toilet seat.

7. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the conforming seat portion is padded.

8. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the conforming seat portion is padded with foam.

9. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the conforming seat portion includes a protective cover

10. The portable toilet seat cover according to claim 1, where the seat cover is made of disposable material.

Description:
PORTABLE TOILET SEAT COVER

CROSS- REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

The present PCT patent application claims priority benefit of the U.S. Utility patent application number 15/607,720, filed on 30-MAY-2017, and entitled "PORTABLE TOILET SEAT COVER" under 35 USC 111(a). The contents of this related Utility application are incorporated herein by reference for all purposes to the extent that such subject matter is not inconsistent herewith or limiting hereof.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a portable toilet seat cover that includes additional draping to provide extensive coverage of a toilet seat.

Description of Related Art

Toilet seats commonly accumulate bacteria over a period of time. Such an issue is especially true with public toilets. Some toilets maintain at different levels of cleanliness and therefore it is important for individuals to use seat covers, where it is necessary to sit on the toilet seat. This issue can be especially true with young children who may not be able to move around and onto a public toilet seat. Seat covers are usually available in public rest rooms however many of these seat covers are flimsy, thin in nature and difficult to keep in a stationary position when using on the toilet seat. Placement is especially difficult for small children who may be attempting to get onto the toilet seat and inherently will touch the toilet seat or come in contact with the toilet seat in some manner due to the limitations associated with a typical toilet seat cover. As a result of these limitations, a portable toilet seat cover may advantageous to use by an individual for placing onto the toilet seat that entirely covers the seat portion and provides additional draping for coverage below the seat.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A portable toilet seat cover that includes: a conforming seat portion adapted for placement against a toilet seat; a front adhesive surface on an underside of the conforming seat portion; a rear lip extending beyond the conforming seat portion with rear adhesive on the underside of the rear lip; a front drape extending downward from the conforming seat portion; a side drape on each side of the conforming seat portion, wherein the front drape and side drapes extend downward to a floor level supporting the toilet seat. Preferably, the conforming seat portion is padded with foam to provide a comfortable seating surface. The conforming seat portion may also include a protective cover. In one particular embodiment, the seat cover is made of disposable material.

Figure 1 depicts a first embodiment of a portable seat cover in accordance with the present invention.

Figure 2 depicts a second embodiment of a portable seat cover in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a portable seat cover for placing onto a toilet seat with improved features to provide extra coverage and comfort for the user. Seat cover according to present invention may include additional draping that extends down beyond the seat cover portion in one embodiment. This additional draping ensures that the user does not come in contact with the toilet while using the seat cover and is preferably for use by a child or special needs person. Further the seat cover preferably includes padding in the form of foam around the seated portion. This additional padding provides comfort for the user and thus creates a more enjoyable seating arrangement. The draping extends down from the front of the seat cover portion and each side of the seat cover portion. Along the back of the seat cover portion is a lip and adhesive on the underside to adhere the seat in a stationary position.

In reference to Figure 1, a first portable seat cover 100 is depicted. The portable seat cover 100 includes a conforming seat portion 25 that is placed over the seat on the existing toilet as shown in the Figure 1. The seat portion 25 includes a rear lip 28 that has adhesive on the underside of the lip 28 to adhere the seat cover 100 onto the toilet seat temporarily. Further adhesive is provided at the front area of the seat Portion 25, shown as front adhesive 30. Below the front of the seat portion 25 is a front drape 20 that extends cover the lower level of the toilet seat. A similar drape is provided with the side drape 22 on each side of the seat cover according to the present invention.

This particular arrangement provides both comfort and added coverage with a padded seat portion 25 additional draping provided by front drape 20 and side drape 22 for the seat cover 100. In one embodiment, the seat cover 100 is made of disposable material that may be disposed through the toilet. The embodiment shown in Figure 1 is particularly useful for a child or special needs adult. Figure 2 shows a second portable seat cover 44. The second portable seat cover 44 includes a short draping edge 45. The seat cover 44 also includes a rear lip 42 and a seat portion 40. Similarly adhesives 41 are provided on the underside of the seat portion 40 to secure the seat cover 44 to the toilet seat. The seat cover 44 exposes the underside of toilet seat 10. Preferably the seat portion 25/40 includes form or cotton for padding with a plastic or was cover to repel fluids. The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.
