A portable type information terminal device capable of holding the antenna at good sensitivity, making the key board operation easy, and making maximum effective use of the limited space in the box to install a display screen and key buttons. A hinge section (3) comprises a first hinge section (1f) that is a fitted section formed by notching one side of a first box (1), and second hinge sections (32a, 3b) that are fitting sections that fit fitted sections projecting from one side of the inner surface (2A) of a second box (2) to the inner surface (2A) of the first box (1) and that rotatably engage the first hinge section (1f), it being arranged that the first hinge section (1f) and second hinge sections (32a, 3b) will not bulge out from the inner surface of the first box (1). Thereby, when the first box (1) is placed on a working plane and the second box (2) is opened, the side of the first box (1) having the first hinge section (1f) is raised.
