The position context acquisition device (100) is provided with: a sensor information acquisition unit (120) that acquires sensor information representing measurement results output by a sensor that measures the environment; and a control unit (140) which specifies model data that represents characteristics having a degree of similarity of a given value or higher, said degree of similarity representing the extent to which the characteristics of the measurement results represented by the sensor information acquired by the sensor information acquisition unit (120) are similar, and which acquires the position context associated with the specified model data.
