Abstract:
The center (O') of an object (2a) to be detected by a position detector is attached to a rotary shaft with an eccentricity (d) from a rotation center (O). When the rotary shaft is turned at a certain speed, accurate positions can be detected by a sensor (2b) at 0° and 180° but positions P1' and P3' are erroneously detected at 90° and 270° where the true positions are P1 and P3, resulting in that the detected positions show undulation as shown in Fig. 3B. The peak value of the undulation and the rotation angle generated by the peak value are found. The eccentricity (d) is found from the peak value, and the detection error of the command position (angle) is found from the eccentricity (d) and the angle generated by the peak value. The command position is corrected by the detection error and outputted to a motor.
