Abstract:
Provided is a position detecting device which is easy to assemble and has good position detecting accuracy.
A position detecting device 100 is provided with: a detected object 10 including a magnetic; a circuit board 20 including a magnet sensor which detects a magnetic field due to the magnet which changes concomitant with movement of the detected object 10; and a holder 30 comprising a resin material which is attached to the circuit board 20 to hold the detected object 10; wherein the position of the detected object 10 is detected on the basis of the magnetic field detected by the magnetic sensor. The holder 30 includes a guide portion 32 into which the detected object 10 is inserted, and which guides the detected object 10 along a predetermined trajectory, and a hook portion 34 which is positioned at one end of a range of movement of the detected object 10 in the guide portion 32 to restrict movement of the detected object 10.
