Abstract:
Provided are: a position detection sensor unit that holds a circuit board with precision and can have fewer component points; and a production method for the position detection sensor unit. This position detection sensor unit 6 has a holder case 45 and a sensor substrate holder 46. The sensor substrate holder 46 has a substrate insertion groove and a substrate gripping section that grips the sides of a sensor line connection section. The holder case 45 has: a first substrate housing section 81 that houses the tip 34a of an insertion section 34; and a second substrate housing section 82 that houses the base 34b of the insertion section 34. The second substrate housing section 82 has a width in the inside in the radial direction, starting from the insertion section 34, that is greater than the first substrate housing section.
