Abstract:
This position measurement system comprises: an absolute position measurement unit for measuring the absolute position of a moving body, adding a timestamp to the result of the absolute position measurement, and outputting the absolute position measurement result having the timestamp added thereto; a relative position measurement unit for measuring the relative displacement of the moving body, adding a timestamp to the result of the relative displacement measurement, and outputting the relative displacement measurement result having the timestamp added thereto; and a positioning calculation unit for using the absolute position measurement result having the timestamp added thereto and the relative displacement measurement result having the timestamp added thereto to carry out positioning calculation for calculating the absolute position of the moving body, adding a timestamp to the result of the positioning calculation, and outputting the positioning calculation result having the timestamp added thereto.
