Abstract:
A position method and system for mobile terminal is provided. The method includes the following steps: the small zone corresponding position message is set up in the small zone information in network side, when the mobile terminal and the network side intercommunicate with information, the network side transmits the small zone corresponding position information of the small zone that the mobile terminal locates to the mobile terminal, according to the information of the small zone that the mobile terminal locates. The invention can realize position without using the mobile position center MPC to save the network construction cost and satisfyuser's requirement of low accuracy position.
