Abstract:
The invention relates to a positioning device (10) for a catheter (12) for introducing the catheter (12) into openings and vessels of the body. Said device consists of an oblong holding device (14) which is detachably connected to one end (52) of the catheter (12), said holding device (14) being surrounded by a pushing tube (16) in such a way that a distal end (54) of the pushing tube (16) comes into contact with the end (52) of the catheter (12). The pushing tube (16) can be displaced by means of a mobile pushing element (18) coaxially in relation to the holding device (14), such that when the pushing tube (16) is displaced in the distal direction, the end (52) of the catheter (12) is detached from the distal end (50) of the holding device (14).
