Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a positioning method and a communication apparatus. The method comprises: a first position management network element performs first positioning processing on a measured device to obtain first position information; the first position management network element requests a first network element, in which positioning reference devices exist, to determine one or more first positioning reference devices, and the first positioning reference devices perform second positioning measurement to obtain second positioning measurement information; the first positioning reference devices send the second positioning measurement information to the first position management network element, and the first position management network element can obtain more accurate position information of the measured device on the basis of positioning measurement provided by the positioning reference devices and the first position information, so that positioning accuracy of the measured device can be improved.
