Abstract:
[Problem] To enable the altitude for an aircraft to be estimated. [Solution] This positioning system is characterized by being provided with: a flight atmospheric pressure acquiring unit for acquiring a flight atmospheric pressure, which is an atmospheric pressure measured by a barometer provided in an aircraft; a position acquiring unit for acquiring the position of the aircraft; a meteorological information acquiring unit for acquiring the ground-level atmospheric pressure corresponding to the position; and an altitude estimating unit for estimating the altitude of the aircraft on the basis of the ground-level atmospheric pressure and the flight atmospheric pressure.
