Abstract:

Embodiments of the present invention pertain to a positive electrode active material, a method for producing same, and a lithium secondary battery including same. According to an embodiment, a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery can be provided. The positive electrode material is composed of a lithium metal oxide particle in the form of a secondary particle including a plurality of primary particles, and includes a first coating layer disposed on at least a portion of the surface of the primary particles and a second coating layer disposed on at least a portion of the surface of the secondary particle, wherein the first coating layer contains a first niobium compound, and the second coating layer contains the first niobium compound and a second niobium compound having a composition different from that of the first niobium compound.
