Abstract:
In the present invention, provided are a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery including the same, the positive electrode including: a positive electrode current collector; a positive electrode active material layer; and a primer layer formed between the positive electrode current collector and the positive electrode active material layer, wherein the primer layer includes lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) particles of at least two different diameters, a binder polymer, and a conductive material. In an overcharging situation, the lithium secondary battery rapidly reaches an overcharge end voltage due to gas generated between the positive electrode current collector and the positive electrode active material layer, thus the safety of the lithium secondary battery can be ensured.
