Abstract:
A positive electrode material for a lithium secondary cell, characterized in that it comprises secondary particles of a lithium transition metal composite oxide containing boron and/or bismuth, and an atomic ratio of the sum of boron and bismuth to the sum of the metals except boron and bismuth in the surface portion of the secondary particles is 5 to 70 times the above atomic ratio in the whole of the secondary particles. The positive electrode material exhibits enhanced capacity and enhanced output power, and is suppressed in the reduction in output power when used with repeated charge and discharge.
