Abstract:
This positive electrode for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries is provided with: a positive electrode collector sheet; and a positive electrode mixture layer that is supported by the positive electrode collector sheet. The positive electrode mixture layer contains a positive electrode active material, a binder and a conductive agent. The positive electrode active material has a layered rock salt-type crystal structure, and contains a composite oxide which contains lithium and element A that is other than lithium. The element A contains at least nickel; and the atomic ratio of nickel to the element A, namely Ni/A is from 0.8 to 1.0. The binder contains a polymer binder that has a three-dimensional network structure. The mass of the positive electrode mixture layer supported per 1 m2 of the positive electrode collector sheet is 280 g or more.
