Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible, with a simple configuration, to bind document sheets with index sheets so that respective chapters can be identified, and to easily leaf through and open to a predetermined sheet. [Solution] The invention is a post-processing device for overlaying document sheets S1 on which a document has been formed and index sheets S2 on which a chapter heading has been formed, and binding the document sheets S1 with the index sheets S2 so that respective chapters can be identified, the device comprising: an image formation unit for forming the chapter headings on the index sheets S2 in accordance with chapter heading information attached to the document on the basis of a heading settings function that document creation software includes; a machining/forming unit 30 for forming a machined section K that can be cut out or is cut out of the document sheets S1; and a binding unit 40 for overlaying the document sheets S1 where the machined section K has been formed so as to be located over the index sheets S2 where the chapter headings have been formed, and binding so as to match up the machined sections K of the document sheets S1 and the chapter headings of the index sheets S2.
