Abstract:
A powder jet device for dental treatment which is provided with a powder tank (1)
for holding powder, a junction (2) for feeding pressurized gas, a mixing chamber
(5) for mixing pressurized gas with powder, a powder jetting nozzle (8) for jetting
a mixture of powder with pressurized gas, and a powder feeding mechanism (6) for
feeding powder to the mixing chamber (5). The junction (2) and the powder jetting
nozzle (8) are connected through the mixing chamber (5) by hollow pipes (21, 22,
23), while the powder tank (1) and the mixing chamber (5) are connected through
the powder feeding mechanism (6). The powder feeding mechanism (6) quantitatively
transfers powder held in the tank (1) to the mixing chamber (5). According to the
invention, powder can be stably jetted from the nozzle (8) in a constant quantity
substantially independent of the quantity of powder held in the tank (1) or the
pressure of the pressurized gas, and the quantity of powder jetted can be controlled.
