Abstract:
A powder (1) for a magnetic core, which comprises a soft magnetic metal powder (2) and an insulating coating film (3) that coats the surface of the soft magnetic metal powder (2), wherein the insulating coating film (3) is formed from aggregates of crystals (4) produced by cleaving a layered oxide. The crystals (4) are produced by, for example, cleaving a swellable smectite-group mineral, which is used as the layered oxide and is one of swellable layered clay minerals.
