Abstract:
A power amplifier according to this disclosure comprises multiple amplifying elements, a tournament circuit that is connected to the multiple amplifying elements and includes multiple transmission lines in a tournament format, and multiple difference frequency short circuits each of which includes an inductor and a capacitor connected in series with the inductor. The power amplifier is characterized in that a resonance frequency of a difference frequency short circuit located further from the multiple amplifying elements is smaller than the resonance frequency of a difference frequency short circuit located closer to the multiple amplifying elements; and among the multiple difference frequency short circuits, difference frequency short circuits connected to multiple nodes in a stage of the tournament circuit closest to the amplifying elements have an impedance from the nodes, to which the difference frequency short circuits are connected, to the amplifying elements and an inductive reactance that resonates at an operating frequency, and also have different resonance frequencies.
