A power control device (3) is characterized by: being capable of monitoring the drive state of at least one load apparatus; and being provided with a control unit (31) that calculates a storage battery remaining amount to be ensured for occurrence of a power failure, said storage battery remaining amount being calculated on the basis of a predicted power demand amount of the load apparatus to be used when a power failure occurs, and urgency degree of a demand response request and/or incentive.
