Abstract:
Conventionally, when a power conversion device and safety function unit are integrated, component and development costs are large, and the product price increases. A power conversion system according to the present invention is provided with a power conversion device for driving a motor and a safety function unit for carrying out a safety function. When a safety request signal is received, the safety function unit outputs a speed-reduction command signal so as to reduce the speed of the motor. When the motor speed exceeds a prescribed value, the safety function unit outputs a torque-off signal for turning off the application of torque to the motor.
