Abstract:

Each arm circuit (6) of a power conversion device is provided with a plurality of cell blocks (20) connected in cascade and a plurality of bypass circuits (30) connected in parallel with the respective cell blocks (20). Each of the cell blocks (20) includes: a first connection node (40p) on the high-potential side and a second connection node (40n) on the low-potential side for connecting another cell blocks thereto; and a plurality of converter cells connected in cascade between the first and second connection nodes (40p, 40n) and each including an energy storage (24). The plurality of converter cells include at least one first converter cell (21F, 21HYB) having a full-bridge (or mixed) configuration and at least one second converter cell (21H) having a half-bridge configuration.
