Abstract:

This power conversion device is provided with: a power conversion circuit section (2) that includes a plurality of sub-modules (7) connected in series to each other; a control apparatus (30) that generates control instructions for controlling operations of the sub-modules (7); and a relay device (70) that relays communication between the control apparatus (30) and the sub-modules (7). With respect to respective sub-modules (7), the relay device (70) generates route information indicating communication routes from the control apparatus (30) to the sub-modules (7), and outputs, to the sub-modules (7), the route information thus generated. The sub-modules (7) respectively generate identification information of respective sub-modules (7) on the basis of the route information corresponding to the sub-modules (7).
