Abstract:
The power conversion device according to an embodiment is connected to a DC power supply and an AC power system and has an inverter circuit, a control unit, a frequency detection unit, a voltage detection unit, and a determination unit. The control unit controls the switching elements of the inverter circuit and causes the inverter circuit to convert the DC power supplied from the DC power supply to an AC power corresponding to the AC power system. The frequency detection unit detects the frequency of the AC power system. The voltage detection unit detects the voltage of the AC power system. The determination unit determines, on the basis of the detection result of the frequency detection unit and the detection result of the voltage detection unit, whether the power conversion device is in stand-alone operation or not. When the degree of change in the frequency of the AC power system detected by the frequency detection unit is larger than a predetermined degree of change and the voltage of the AC power system detected by the voltage detection unit is lower than a predetermined voltage, the determination unit determines that the power conversion device is in stand-alone operation.
