Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of improving power conversion efficiency. A control device (50) of a power conversion device (100) performs a first control operation that, for a control signal to bidirectional switches (8) that, of a plurality of bidirectional switches (8), respectively correspond to a plurality of switching circuits (10), makes a high-level period overlap dead time but sets the start time of the high-level period exactly an additional amount of time before the start time of the dead time. When the detected potential of a fourth end (154) of a regeneration capacitor (15) is below a first threshold value, the control device (50) performs a second control operation that controls the plurality of bidirectional switches (8) so as to raise the potential (V15) of the fourth end (154) of the regeneration capacitor (15), but when the detected potential is above a second threshold value, the control device (50) controls the plurality of bidirectional switches (8) so as to lower the potential (V15) of the fourth end (154) of the regeneration capacitor (15).
