Abstract:
A power conversion system 20 comprising: a power conversion unit 30 having a matrix converter circuit 111 for AC–AC conversion and an inverter circuit 214 for DC–AC conversion and converting power in both directions between a primary side and a secondary side; a power supply switching unit 40 that switches between a normal state and an emergency state, said normal state having a power grid 2 connected to the primary side of the power conversion unit 30 and said emergency state having an uninterruptible power supply device 3, that is different from the power grid 2, connected to the primary side of the power conversion unit 30; and an output switching unit 31 that, in accordance with the switching between the normal state and the emergency state, switches between an AC–AC conversion state in which the matrix converter circuit 111 is connected between the primary side and the secondary side and a DC–AC conversion state in which the inverter circuit 214 is connected between the primary side and the secondary side.
