Abstract:
A power conversion system (100) comprises: a first power converter (2_1) that converts power between a first AC system (12_1) and a DC circuit (14); and a second power converter (2_2) that converts power between a second AC system (12_2) and a DC circuit (14). The first power converter (2_1) and the second power converter (2_2) each include a plurality of submodules (7) connected in series. Each submodule (7) has a plurality of switching elements (31) and a capacitor (32). A first base frequency of the first AC system (12_1) is greater than a second base frequency of the second AC system (12_2). A first average voltage value of the capacitor (32) inside a first submodule (7) contained in the first power converter (2_1) is greater than a second average voltage value of the capacitor (32) inside a second submodule (7) contained in the second power converter (2_2).
