Title:
POWER FEEDING SYSTEM DESIGN METHOD AND POWER FEEDING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/002240
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A power feeding system design method capable of achieving critical coupling at a desired resonance frequency without adjusting the sizes of coils and the distance therebetween to thereby obtain high transmission efficiency over a broad band. A design is made such that by adjusting the impedances of a DC/AC converter (31) and an AC/DC converter (51), the impedances of a power feeding unit (3) and a power receiving unit (5) decrease as the resonance frequencies of a power feeding side helical coil (33) and a power receiving side helical coil (51) decrease. A power feeding system capable of suppressing a decrease in transmission efficiency due to the positional displacement between a power feeding side coil and a power receiving side coil to thereby supply electric power with high efficiency from a power feeding unit to a power receiving unit. A variable inductance (L1) that varies the impedance of a power feeding unit (3) is connected in parallel to a power feeding side helical coil (33). A CPU (9) detects the positional displacement (d) between the central axes of power feeding side and power receiving side helical coils (33, 51) using a position sensor (10), and adjusts the variable inductance (L1) according to the positional displacement (d) to adjust the impedance of the power feeding unit (3).
