Abstract:
A power generation apparatus 1 has a Rankine cycle 2 in which an evaporator 30 for evaporating a working fluid by a heat source, an expander 40 for expanding the working fluid, a condenser 50 for condensing the working fluid by a cooling source, and a pump 20 for circulating the working fluid through a circulation path 10 are arranged in this order in the circulation path 10, and is mounted on a vehicle. The power generation apparatus 1 is provided with: a control unit 80 that causes the working fluid to flow into the expander 40 to start the Rankine cycle 2 when the pressure of the working fluid, after passing through the condenser 50, exceeds a set pressure value; and a temperature detection unit 62 that detects the temperature of the working fluid after passing through the condenser 50, wherein the control unit 80 changes the size of the set pressure value according to the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit 62.
