Abstract:
The power generation element disclosed in the present description is provided with a magnetostriction material, one longitudinal end of which is fixed, and generates power by applying force to the magnetostriction material. The power generation element is characterized by being further provided with: a magnetostriction portion including the magnetostriction material; a magnetic portion including a magnetic material and having at least a partial surface fixed to the magnetostriction portion; a coil including at least a part of the magnetostriction material; and a first magnetic field generation portion and a second magnetic field generation portion which are fixed to the magnetostriction portion so as to sandwich the coil and generate a magnetic field. The power generation element is further characterized in that: the magnetostriction portion, the magnetic portion, the coil, the first magnetic field generation portion, and the second magnetic field generation portion constitute a magnetic circuit; and of the first magnetic field generation portion and the second magnetic field generation portion, the magnetic field generated from the first magnetic field generation portion close to the fixed one end is larger than that generated from the second magnetic field generation portion.
