Abstract:
This power generation element comprises: a magnetic member configured from a magnetic material that generates a large Barkhausen effect; a power generation coil via which magnetic flux that passes through the magnetic member is interlinked; and two magnetic collector members that have an insertion part into which the magnetic member is inserted, said magnetic collector members including a soft magnetic material provided at both ends of the magnetic member so that contact will be made with the magnetic member due to the magnetic member being inserted into the insertion part. The magnetic collector member: has a diameter equal to the length of an insertion part in a third direction that is perpendicular to a first direction, which is the direction of insertion of the magnetic member in the insertion part, and to a second direction, which is the direction in which a magnetic-field-generating unit that applies a magnetic field to the magnetic member is arranged as seen from the magnetic collector member; and has a first component on the opposite side to the magnetic-field-generating unit relative to a boundary surface, and a second component closer to the magnetic-field-generating-unit side relative to the boundary surface. The boundary surface is a virtual plane parallel to a virtual plane that passes through the center of a virtual inscribed circle inscribed in the insertion part, the second direction being a normal vector to the virtual plane. The capacity of the second component is greater than the capacity of the first component.
