Abstract:
Provided is a power generation method and a power generation element with which electromotive force is obtained using humidity variation in an environment, said power generation method and power generation element having exceptional operation stability. In the present invention, an aqueous solution of a deliquescent ionic compound is separated using an ion transmission membrane, and electrodes are inserted on each side thereof. One side is isolated from outside air and sealed, and the other side is allowed to connect with the outside air. The ion concentration difference on opposite sides of the ion transmission membrane, derived from the ionic compound in the aqueous solution, is created by changes in humidity in the outside air, and electromotive force is generated between the electrodes.
