Abstract:
Disclosed are a power head and a rotary drilling rig. The power head comprises: a mounting box (2), which is internally provided with a mounting cavity, wherein an opening is also provided on the mounting box, and the opening penetrates the mounting cavity; an input shaft (3), which is arranged in the mounting cavity, a first end of the input shaft being connected to the mounting cavity by means of a first bearing (6), and a second end of the input shaft protruding outward from the opening of the mounting box; and a reducer (1), which is provided on the mounting box and is coaxial with the input shaft. An output end of the reducer is sleeved on the second end of the input shaft, and the output end of the reducer meshes with the second end of the input shaft. Such an arrangement may reduce the length of the entire power head in the vertical direction, thereby reducing the overall volume of the power head, so that the construction efficiency may be increased.
