Abstract:

Disclosed are a power management circuit (100), a chip and an upgrade method therefor, and a server. In the circuit, one end of a micro-control unit(110) is connected to a control board (200) and a processor (300) of the chip, and the other end is connected to a power management integrated circuit unit (130), a voltage conversion unit (120) and a voltage stabilization unit (140). The micro-control unit (110) receives operation instructions sent by the control board (200) and the processor (300), stores the operation instructions, and reads power on/off operation instructions sent by the control board among the operation instructions, so as to send the power on/off operation instructions to the power management integrated circuit unit (300), such that the power management integrated circuit unit (130) correspondingly controls a voltage conversion unit (120) and the voltage stabilization unit (140) to perform the power on/off operations on the processor (300). In the present invention, the micro-control unit (110) is used for power control, and related data storage and collection, so as to achieve stable and reliable power management, and eliminate the need for additional components, thereby saving costs, such as research and development costs of the power management circuit and tape-out costs, while also saving board space.
