Abstract:
The present invention relates to a power management device and method using a predicted power peak guideline, which can reduce electricity bills. The power management method using a predicted power peak guideline according to the present embodiment is a power management method performed by a processor of a power management device, and may comprise the steps of: generating time-series power usage data by using sensor data collected from an IoT sensor provided at a power consumption subject; generating predicted future power usage data by applying the time-series power usage data to a coefficient-fitted Fourier series; determining, using a power upper limit value prediction model for determining a predicted power upper limit value by using predicted power usage data as an input, a predicted power upper limit value from the predicted power usage data, and generating a predicted power peak guideline; and generating an alert for an excess of electricity bills on the basis of the distance between the time-series power usage data and the predicted power peak guideline.
