Abstract:
In a hybrid automobile (20), when it travels in a two-motor travel mode in which both
motors (MG1, MG2) are connected to a drive shaft (67) by a transmission (60), torque
commands (Tm1*, Tm2*) for the motors (MG1, MG2) are set such that work performed by
the motor (MG2) and work performed by the motor (MG1) are substantially the same
and that torque based on request torque (Tr*) is outputted to the drive shaft (67)(Steps
S130-S150). By this, the two motors are connected to the drive shaft by speed change/transmission
means to enable relatively high torque to be continuously obtained.
