Abstract:
The present invention relates to a power-saving computer having a battery for a standby mode, which can prevent data loss of an operating computer by switching the current mode of the computer into a standby mode when external power inputted into the computer is cut off, and which can maximize power-saving efficiency by forcedly cutting off the external power. That is, the power-saving computer of the present invention comprises: a charging power supply unit which is charged by external power, and which selectively supplies AC auxiliary power and standby mode operation power; an external power detection unit for detecting an input of the external power to a power supply; a standby mode signal input unit for inputting a standby mode signal into a main board when the input of the external power to a power supply is cut off; and a control unit. Thus, the present invention can stably maintain the standby mode state of the computer in the case of a power failure for extended periods of time and can protect data being processed by supplying the AC auxiliary power to the power supply, switching the current mode of the computer to a standby mode, cutting off a supply of the AC auxiliary power, and supplying only the standby mode operation power for a standby mode operation when cutting off the external power, and can enhance power-saving efficiency by artificially cutting off the external power.
