Abstract:
Disclosed are a power saving method and apparatus for playing back an online video on a mobile terminal, and a storage medium; the method comprises: by means of dynamically detecting the remaining power and the playback behavior mode of a mobile terminal when playing back an online video, matching the remaining power to a corresponding preset power level to serve as the current power level, and at the same time, by means of regularly detecting the power consumption speed of the mobile terminal when playing back the online video, determining whether to jump levels to adjust the current power level; adjusting playback parameters according to different power levels and different playback behavior modes; and finally controlling the download of the online video to play back according to the adjusted playback parameters, thereby achieving the goal of saving power. The solution of the present invention is capable of dynamically detecting the power usage conditions of the mobile terminal when playing back an online video and detecting the playback behavior mode of a user, and further adjusting the video buffer capacity and other parameters so as to reduce the power consumption of a video segment downloaded by the mobile terminal from a video server, achieve the purpose of conserving energy, and simultaneously reduce the waste of broadband resources.
