Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a power socket that has a simple configuration and is easily assembled.
[Solution] A power socket is configured by fitting a terminal/fuse assembly (3) in a cylindrical metallic inner case (30). The terminal/fuse assembly (3) is configured such that, in a housing which is comprised of a resin cover plate (50) and a fuse box (40), a terminal (6) that passes through the bottom wall (42) of the housing, a fuse (60), and a contact disk (58) are stacked. The fuse (60) has a fuse-element (65) provided on a tongue that extends inward from a ring portion in the periphery of an elastic conductive plate (61). A part of the ring portion is supported above the terminal (6). The contact disk (58), in contact with the elastic conductive plate (61) at the supported portion, presses the fuse-element (65) downward so that the tongue comes into contact with the terminal (6), thereby there is electrical continuity from the contact disk (58) to the terminal (6). When the fuse-element (65) melts due to overheating, the tongue detaches from the terminal (6) to break the continuity. Making a hole (52) in the top wall (51) of the cover plate (50) allows the contact disk (58) to act as a first contact and the inner case (30) to act as a second contact.
