Title:
POWER SOURCE DEVICE AND POWER GENERATION METHOD UTILIZING RADIOACTIVE ENERGY DUE TO ALPHA DECAY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/029105
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are a power supply device and a power generation method that enable, through a voltage power supply device, next-generation energy supply that is completely different from conventional forms of energy supply with large-scale infrastructure facilities. The voltage power supply device has a connected structure in which one end of a first metal 300 and one end of a second metal 400 are connected by a one-end bonding part 100 containing uranium and thorium supported on a carrier made of boron, and opposite ends thereof are connected by an opposite-end bonding part 200 containing uranium and thorium supported on a carrier made of carbon, the first metal 300 and the second metal 400 being metals that produce the Seebeck effect. The voltage power supply device heats the one-end bonding part to a first temperature through alpha decay of uranium (U) and thorium (Th) and heats the opposite-end bonding part to a second temperature different from the first temperature through alpha decay of uranium (U) and thorium (Th), and thus generates a current by the Seebeck effect on the basis of the relative temperature difference between the one-end bonding part heated to the first temperature and the opposite-end bonding part heated to the second temperature.
