Abstract:
[Problem] To prevent electric shock to a human body without using an insulating means such as a transformer in a power source device for vehicles that is mounted in a vehicle and achieves a low voltage power source from a high-voltage power source via a step-down means. [Solution] In a configuration for performing power conversion from a high voltage to a lower voltage by selectively connecting a predetermined power storage element group from a high voltage power source formed by connecting power storage elements in series to a low voltage electrical load, a leakage current from the high voltage power source is measured during a dead-time period in which the power storage element group is not connected to the low voltage electrical load, and electric shock is prevented by cutting off the connection between the power storage element group and the low voltage electrical load when the leakage current is a predetermined value or higher.
