Abstract:
This power storage device (101AB) comprises cell balance circuits (2A, 2B) that are respectively connected to a plurality of mutually connected secondary batteries (1A, 1B). The cell balance circuits (2A, 2B) each comprise a passive electrode (4A, 4B), an active electrode (3A, 3B), a transformer, a switching circuit unit, and a control unit. The passive electrodes (4A, 4B) are electrically coupled, and the active electrodes (3A, 3B) are electrically coupled, in an insulated state. Each switching circuit unit comprises a plurality of switch elements and is connected to a secondary battery, and each control unit controls a switching circuit unit. By controlling the switching circuit units, power is transmitted or received through the first cell balance circuit and the second cell balance circuit. As a result, power loss due to forced discharge is avoided, and power efficiency is increased.
